Description
This very detailed map covers the steel town of Mossend and the principal features are the three large steelworks: Mossend Works, Milnwood Iron & Steel Works and Clydesdale Iron & Steel Works. Railways cross the map east-west and north-south, with the connecting lines: Cleland Branch, Milnwood Fork, Mossend Fork and Motherwell & Bellshill Connecting Line. Other features include Mossend station, Main Street, Milnwood House, Clyde Crane Works, the south end of Mossend Sidings. On the reverse we include the 1929 timetable for the Glasgow-Coatbridge-Mossend-Motherwell line.
