Speaker :  Alison Spring

With over 40 years’ experience in genealogical research, Alison Spring specialises in Scottish family history. She is a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists, with a Master’s degree in Family & Local History from the University of Dundee.  Operating Scottish Ancestral Research: Genealogy Detective, she has worked with clients in the media, publishing, and the charitable sector.  Based in East Kilbride, she is one of Glasgow City Archives’ listed researchers at the Mitchell Library, and has taught college and university classes in genealogy.  She also writes a blog as the Frugal Family Historian, with regular advice and tips on how to trace your family tree without breaking the bank.
