Would be interested to hear from anyone who knows something about the descendants of William Sherris Crichton and Christina McCallum who were married in Glasgow on 24 November 1876. They had six children all with the surname Crichton: Marjory Cameron Annie Greig Janet known as Jessie Walker William Shiress Helen Nelly McCallum and Christina McCallum. I am descended from Marjory and know something of the descendants of Annie in Canada and Christina in Australia.

My great-grandfather was a wholesale dairy farmer in Polmadie. I believe the dairy was called James Jackson Polmadie Dairy and was in business up to 1913. I am trying to locate photos of the dairy but so far have had no luck. Would anyone know of its existence?

A very helpful website thank you. Just wondering if anyone can help with finding details of one Alexander Brown born c1906. In 1930 Alexander was employed at William Skinner and Sons Bakery at 477 Sauchiehall Street. His mother may have remarried or lived with a man named Robertson in later life. The family were living in the Maryhill area in the 1930s. No other clues sadly but maybe these few snitches will ring a bell with someone. Thank you.

Does anyone have a connection with the Glasgow Fire Brigade? I am looking to identify individuals in a couple of pictures taken circa 1881-1912 one picture includes what was supposedly the first automotive style engine owned by the Fire Brigade 59 Cranston Street. David Galloway was a member of the Brigade during this time frame and lived over the fire station with his family. David son of David Galloway and Elsie Gourlay was married to Annie Agnew daughter of George Agnew and Ann Anderson.

Does anyone know if there is a memorial at the Linn Cemetery in Glasgow for the remains removed from the North Street Burial Ground in the 1960s. I had ancestors buried at North Street in the early 1800s. Ive been told the remains were reburied in the banking of section 26. If there is a memorial Id like a photo of it.

I have a photo of him receiving a presentation on his retirement. In addition the info I have is that he was both a union rep and a signed up member of the Communist party.
