Our reference collection of books etc., including exchange journals from around 60 other Family History Societies in the UK and abroad, is held at the Research Centre. Our holdings include the I.G.I. (1992) for England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales; O.P.R. films for all the counties in our area; the 1901 census on fiche for Counties Tyrone & Fermanagh; the P.O. Directories for Glasgow 1787-1885/6 on fiche; the index to "Soldiers who died in the Great War" and the "Army Roll of Honour for WWII" on CD-ROM; census indexes for other areas on CD, maps, including a complete set of the reprinted one-inch Victorian Ordnance Survey Maps of Scotland, gazetteers, research directories etc. Recent acquisitions include Registers of Sasines for the Sheriffdom of Ayr 1599 –1660, the Sheriffdom of Dumfries etc 1617 – 1780 and the Sheriffdom of Edinburgh etc. 1617- 1660.
