Sign Up For Cheaper Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates
There is an e-petition to the UK Government asking them to release historic Birth, Marriage, and Death certificates for viewing online.
At present the GRO in England and Wales can only issue certified legal copies of BMD certificates, and they cost around ten pounds sterling each.
This petition asks for legislation to allow them to issue uncertified copies much more cheaply for historical research.
They need 100,000 signatures. You must be a UK citizen to add your name and it only takes a few moments.
